Mother of four dies outside Hull courtroom

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young mother of four who died after she collapsed in the concourse of a court building in Hull.

Hayley Gascoigne, from Scunthorpe, became ill in the public area of the city’s Combined Court Centre, which houses both the Crown Court and a range of civil courts.

Witnesses have described attempts to revive Ms Gascoigne by court staff and then paramedics.

A Humberside Police spokesman said on Friday: “A woman in her thirties collapsed in the public concourse area of Hull Crown Court yesterday at approximately 3pm.

“She was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where she was sadly pronounced dead.

“A post-mortem examination will now be carried out to try and establish the cause of death.”

Some of Ms Gascoigne’s friends have posted Facebook tributes to the mother of four.

One said: “She was a lovely, warm kind person and this is just so tragic. Love n strength to all her family n friends.”

Another said: “What sad news to wake up to. A truly beautiful lady inside and out.”
