Mother pleads not guilty over man with stiletto heel in eye

A MOTHER accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after her stiletto heel went into the eye of a 28-year-old man is due to stand trial in July.

Staci Hargreaves, 33, from Stalybridge, Cheshire, entered a not guilty plea to the charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Gavin Taylor at a brief hearing before a judge at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

The charge arises out of an incident in a taxi after the defandant and the alleged victim had been on a night out in Huddersfield in February.

At the time of the incident, it was reported that Mr Taylor was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary after the stiletto heel penetrated his eye socket and touched his brain.

Hargreaves' trial is due to last three days and Judge Jonathan Potter yesterday extended her conditional bail until the hearing in July.
