Motorcycle bursts into flames in crash

A motorcyclist suffered burns to his arms after his bike burst into flames when it collided with a car.

The incident happened at about 9.30pm yesterday at the junction of the A65 and the A6131, near Skipton, North Yorkshire.

A fire service spokesman said: “The motorcycle, a Trial Sprint, collided with a Hyundai IX20 car. The female driver of the car was uninjured but the male motorcyclist suffered some burns to his arms and some other injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.”

Crews came away from the incident around 10pm.
