Motorist hits pensioner at Hull zebra crossing, verbally abuses her and drives off
A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after she was hit by a driver who is said to have stopped and verbally abused her before driving off from the scene of the incident at a zebra crossing in Hull.
Humberside Police said the 75-year-old woman was reported to have been struck by a silver Renault Scenic as she was crossing Anlaby Road at the zebra crossing near Meadowbank Road at around 6pm on Friday January 22.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service.
It is claimed the driver of the Renault Scenic - which was travelling away from the city - stopped and verbally abused the woman before driving away.
The suspect is described as a white man with a moustache.
