Murder-case son in court
A MAN aged 35 has been made the subject of an interim hospital order after admitting the manslaughter of his mother on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
John Makannah was charged with the murder of Mariatu Nuni, 58, after she was fatally injured at their home in Springwood Avenue, West Bowling, Bradford, in January.Prosecutor Jonathan Sharp told Bradford Crown Court that the plea was acceptable to the Crown and asked for the case to be adjourned for 12 weeks so that Makannah's mental state could be assessed.
