Murderer on run 'may head for Yorkshire'

Police are warning the public not to approach an escaped murderer who may be on his way to Hull and also has links to West Yorkshire.

Trevor Williams, 52, was serving a life sentence for murder when he absconded from Leyhill prison in South Gloucestershire on Monday . He left prison without his false teeth and medication which he may need.

Williams is 6ft tall, of heavy build, and balding with short grey hair. He has a scar behind both knees, and tattoos on both arms with a female figure and the name of a girl on his right arm, while there are tattoos of crosses on his legs.

A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said yesterday: "Police are advising members of the public not to approach him."
