New appeal over early-hours stabbing at Village nightclub in Bradford

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING a stabbing at a nightclub have urged clubbers who witnessed the events to come forward.

A 22-year-old man remains in hospital after being stabbed at the Village nightclub in Bradford at about 4am on Sunday.

The attack happened in the smoking area of the club, in Sackville Street.

Two 21-year-old men from Bradford, who were arrested, have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police now hope clubbers who were at the venue at the time can help them piece together the circumstances that led to the attack.

Detective Inspector Damian Simpson, of Bradford District CID, said: "Our enquiries so far suggest this incident followed an argument inside the club.

“We know there were others in the club at that time and we would appeal for them to come forward and tell us what they saw.”
