New cancer charity trustee named

LUNG cancer expert Dr Trish Fisher has been announced as a new trustee of Sheffield’s Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

Dr Fisher, a thoracic oncologist who treats patients with lung tumours, is also the clinical director of specialised cancer services at Weston Park Hospital.

As a trustee, she becomes part of a team of unpaid experts who run the cancer charity and manage its finances. The charity aims to raise more than £1.2m each year to support Weston Park Hospital, one of just three purpose-built specialist cancer hospitals in the UK.
