New hospital is called to account
The 30-bed facility will replace Westwood Hospital on 10 acres of fields off Swinemoor Lane.
An extraordinary meeting of the NHS East Riding Board on Thursday, which is open to the public, will discuss the business case for the hospital.

Hide AdThe 36 beds at Hornsea Cottage Hospital, Alfred Bean Hospital, Driffield and Beverley Westwood will close, saving 2.4m, after the first patients are admitted to the new hospital in March 2012. The new hospital will cost 2.8m a year to run. Alex Whittaker, director of joint commissioning at NHS East Riding, said: "The new community hospital will be a very important and beneficial development for the people of the East Riding."
The meeting will take place from 12.30pm at Health House, Grange Park Lane, Willerby, near Hull.
