New light shed on pregnancy danger
Research into a dangerous pregnancy complication that kills hundreds of babies each year has shed new light on the causes of high blood pressure.
Scientists believe the results could lead to novel treatments for high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia, which affects up to seven per cent of pregnancies.
Their research has provided an insight into how hormones called angiotensins constrict blood vessels.
