A service has been held St Mary's Church, Sutton, followed by burial in Sutton Cemetery for Mrs Janet Collins of Willow Bridge Lane, Sutton, who passed away at home March 27th 2017, aged 78.Janet was a life-long local resident, she worked as a hosiery worker, latterly she was a housewife. First and foremost Janet was a family lady, she liked old movies, the outdoors and countryside, was interested in steam engines and football.Janet leaves her husband Barry Collins, daughter Maria Dowey and two grandchildren.Mourners were, Mr B.Collins, Ms M.Dowey, Miss S.Dowey, Master C.Dower, Mr E.and Mrs A.Miller, Mr M.and Mrs S.Collins; Mr D. and Mrs L.Milligan (rep Mr K.and Mrs B.Doyle), Ms K.Farbrother, Miss S.Mills, Miss K.Mills; Mrs L.Cordon (rep Mr A.and Mrs E.Thompson), Miss C.Duell, Mr S.Collins, Mr R.and Mrs J.Collins, Mrs R.Turner, Captain R.Higgins O.B.E. and Mrs B.Higgins, Reverend D.Blackwood, Mr and Mrs P.Lloyd, Mr A.Wainwright, Miss S.Bonney, Mr and Mrs J.Miller.Floral tributes were from the Family.
