Now Charles on way to region

The Prince of Wales will visit Bradford next week to throw his weight behind the industry which made the city great.

The Prince, who is patron of the Campaign for Wool, will meet farmers and representatives of the local wool industry on Tuesday.

Peter Ackroyd, of the Woolmark Company and member of the Campaign for Wool Steering Committee, said: "His Royal Highness is looking forward to coming to Bradford to promote wool. He is passionate about the wonderful natural fibre."

The Campaign for Wool is a coalition of industry groups convened by the prince to educate consumers about the benefits of choosing wool and highlight its premium quality. Coun Peter Hill, the Lord Mayor of Bradford, said he hoped people would give the prince a "real Yorkshire welcome".
