Nude Nathan among final bunch of Big Brother contestants

A SELF-styled "Jack the lad" from West Yorkshire was one of the contestants chosen last night to take part in the final series of Channel 4's Big Brother reality show.

Nathan Dunn, 25, from Bingley, claims to have once walked through Leeds city centre with no clothes on, using two takeaway menus to hide his modesty.

The rugby-playing trainee joiner describes himself as Yorkshire's answer to pop star Liam Gallagher and likes "to be the life and soul of the party", although he still lives at home with his grandparents.

Nathan, who weighed 17 and a half stone until he was 18, deliberately failed some school exams so he could leave private school for the local comprehensive, where he was the class clown.

He describes his love life as "currently single too much of a lad to commit to anyone".

Channel 4 announced last year it was ending Big Brother after years of declining ratings, but the station was contractually committed to make the final series which began last night and runs through the summer.

An estimated 4.5 million viewers watched last night's programme - the lowest opening night Big Brother audience since 2001's second series, when 3.5 million tuned in.
