Number’s not up yet for bingo iron
Doris Greenwood says she is unsure whether she will outlive the iron she won at bingo in 1965.
The 85-year-old, from Brighouse, proudly shows off her Sunbeam Ironmaster, which she won in a bingo game in 1965 – and she uses it with an even older ironing board which dates from 1954. Both the iron and the ironing board are still in excellent working order. She said: “I’ve told the family one of them will get it, it’s become a family heirloom.”
