Officers could face charges over death in police custody
David Hill died at Grimsby police station on May 21 last year after being arrested at his home in New Waltham, Grimsby, on charges of criminal damage and affray.
The actions of five officers - two who arrested Mr Hill and three custody officers - have been referred to the Crown Prosecution Service to determine whether there is evidence that warrants criminal charges, the IPPC said today.

He suffered from diabetes, according to club members, and had an artificial knee and didn’t join in walks.
He and his wife Georgina were described as the “life and soul of the party” and “a really friendly individual and kind person”, by stunned members of the club, following his death.
