Old fire van stolen from North Yorkshire layby

A distinctive, old North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue vehicle has been stolen from a layby on the outskirts of High Bentham.

The van stolen from a layby near High Bentham over the weekend.

Police are appealing for anyone with information that could assist officers in their bid to trace the vehicle to contact them.

The red Mercedes van - pictured - with thee registration number N612 WPY was stolen from a layby on the B6480 sometime between 7.30pm on Saturday and 12pm yesterday.

The van’s fire and rescue signage has been painted over in red but is still visible underneath.
