Bolton Castle herb garden inspires with spring in the air - The Yorkshire Post says

There is – dare we say, at the time of writing – a hint of spring in the air.

It is especially welcome given the recent shock of thick March snow in many parts of Yorkshire, and will get people planning their trips to garden centres ready to brush up their outdoor spaces in hope of warmer weather.

And what better inspiration than a “revitalised and refreshed” herb garden, which has just reopened to the public, at Bolton Castle near Leyburn in Wensleydale.

Gardener Elizabeth Carter has spent the last five years researching medieval plants and then completely replanting the the area.
