My anger at arrogance of barely competent Ministers – Yorkshire Post Letters

MUCH has been said about the disgraceful and arrogant behaviour of Dominic Cummings, and it is not necessary for me to further reiterate what should be the right and correct course of action.

However, in response to Mr Carmichael’s myopic assertions regarding the kind of country we have become (The Yorkshire Post, May 29), I would comment as follows.

We have become a country where our current leaders avoid criticism and scrutiny, are devoid of contrition, are arrogant and condescending and who put political loyalty above the common good, are barely competent and at best economical with the truth.

Should Boris Johnson have sacked Dominic Cummings?Should Boris Johnson have sacked Dominic Cummings?

Also unfortunately one of the worst countries in dealing with this crisis despite the government’s bluster and bombast.

From: Tony Rossiter, West Burton, Leyburn.

TO suggest, as Boris Johnson did, that Dominic Cummings acted with integrity is to treat the electorate with contempt.

Of course, both the PM
and Cummings, who was last year found to be in contempt of Parliament, have form.

Johnson’s track record speaks for itself.

Integrity is something he just doesn’t get.
