Our debt to Marcus Rashford and his goal to end child food poverty – The Yorkshire Post says
A role model whose deeds on the field of play are now eclipsed by his humanitarian work off the pitch to alleviate the social tragedy of children going hungry in one of the world’s most advanced economies, Rashford’s newly-formed Child Poverty Food Task Force is a credit to him.
An example of how role models can use their status, and social media profile, as a force for good, he tweeted: “I agree @yorkshirepost. Would love to see Number 10 as part of the Child Food Poverty Task Force. The invitation is always open...”

Hide AdIt will certainly be another own goal if Boris Johnson, and the PM’s 10 Downing Street team, decline this offer. After all, they’re on the wrong side if they’re not ambitious enough to strive to end child food poverty.
