While junior soldiers at the Army Foundation College Harrogate have already become some of the first to swear the oath of allegiance to King Charles III. It signifies the importance of the Monarchy to the forces and Yorkshire.
Bell ringers will also spring into action across the region as they play their part in giving Queen Elizabeth a worthy send off.

Hide AdThe bell will ring an hour before the funeral as a call to communities. And Yorkshire’s communities are already preparing to pay tribute to a Monarch that reigned over the nation with such distinction for 70 years.
Those that can’t make it to London will have the opportunity to gather around countless screenings.
Cathedrals will be open for people to come in for reflection, to offer prayers, light a candle and to join in observing the two minutes silence at 11am before the start of the funeral.
