Are we a nation that will take in anybody?

There seems to be an ever increasing state of euphoria among journalists and politicians regarding the visit to our country of Musa Kusa and others from Libya.

If they wish to defect, why choose the UK?

Could it be that over a number of years we have allowed mass murderers, international members of organised crime syndicates and various ethnic cleansers of all colours and creeds from all over the world to settle in our most generous country?.

We are regarded as a nation where we will take in anybody and in some cases anything.

BRITAIN has allowed the former Libyan Foreign Minister and Head of Internal Security to seek refuge in our country, but William Hague says he will not be allowed diplomatic immunity.

This further escalation of the mess that is the war in Libya is yet more proof of why this country should have had nothing whatsoever to do with the internal affairs of Libya.

Why do our politicians always fear what they think the rest of the world will think about us? How come the mighty rich Arab nations do almost nothing to sort out the chaos in these places?

WhilE the UK flounders in debt and yet struggles to maintain its former colonial and worldwide influences, we witness the ongoing antics of David Cameron and his coalition cronies who are spending yet more money on Libya and even considering armed intervention. We cannot continue to police the world while running down our armed forces.
