February 14 letters: Definition that isn’t working

POLITICIANS, especially Labour politicians, keep saying they want to help working people, but I have never had the term “working people” defined. I worked to the age of 74 until a triple by-pass caused me to retire. Many people do not work due to many reasons. Is Labour in particular not interested in the welfare of these people? What is the definition of “working people”?

WITH regard to the article “Don’t declare war on business” (The Yorkshire Post, February 5), some people would have you working for them for nothing if they could. The best thing Tony Blair did was to bring in the minimum wage.
