June 25: HS2 set to be a white elephant

I BELIEVE the building of the new HS2 line is not a good idea. I think that the cost of the bridges and structures will be enormous and that it will end up in Hertfordshire as a very expensive “white elephant”, not to mention the destruction of the countryside.

I feel that the money could be spent more wisely on improving the existing network and stations.
