Lottery cash not for Government
YOU report (Yorkshire Post, August 25) that good causes in Yorkshire have suffered very substantially due to a Government raid on Lottery funding.
Surely this serves to confirm that no Government should be permitted to have access to any funds from the National Lottery?

Cosmetic care
From: Sharon Bennett, Deputy Chair, British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, Harrogate.
THE British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) has long held the view that there need to be tighter restrictions on who can supply and administer cosmetic injectables.
This organisation, now in its third year, has in excess 450 members and is working hard through education, training and shared expertise to ensure their patients receive the best possible care. The nurses’ safety record can be substantiated and their expertise evidenced.

Costly rules
From: John Gordon, Whitcliffe Lane, Ripon.
THE letter from Mr Oliver about parking at Haworth (Yorkshire Post, August 25) reads like a page from a traffic warden’s Bible.
We all know from school days that rules must be obeyed but if the rules are too draconian in the Haworth car park the customers will simply not come to park there. Everyone loses money and the traffic warden loses his or her job. Has that never occurred to Mr Oliver?
