the true outrage

From: DR Hanson, Old Lee Bank, Halifax.

WITH refernce to your page two headline “Outrage as parties planned and foes gloat over passing of ex-PM” (Yorkshire Post, April 9), there also should be outrage over the fact that Mrs Thatcher destroyed our coal and steel industries, our manufacturing base, and outrage for the thousands of good, honest working people who lost their jobs and whose lives she ruined purely because of her paranoid hatred of trade unions, this should never be forgotten or forgiven.

IF our Prime Minister David Cameron takes on the mantle of that great lady, Baroness Thatcher, then this country of ours would be wealthier, free of crime, crooks, devious dealers in finance, trade union controls and the end of a regime of benefit con merchants.

None today would recover from a belt round the ear from her handbag.

God bless Mrs Thatcher. If only her political left-overs would listen to her edict.
