Nothing against Poles, but they should go home

From: Nigel Boddy, Fife Road, Darlington, County Durham.

I HAVE nothing but the greatest respect for Poland and the Poles. They kept my father alive
during the Second World War when he was a prisoner of the Germans by feeding him
whilst he was a POW slave worker.

To be frank I owe the Poles an enormous debt. I have visited Warsaw and I found it to be a beautiful city, full of disciplined, hard-working people.

Please go and visit if you ever get the chance. You will have a great time.

But when things go wrong good friends should say so.

A number of Eastern European men who have come to Britain to work have lost their way and
are becoming welfare
dependent.

Some are involved in cases of domestic violence, troubling the police and the courts.

Some are living on the streets as tramps with alcohol problems. I know of some voluntary work to get them back home, but should something be done to compel them?

Wouldn’t they be much better off surrounded by their extended families in their own land
than living on the streets of Britain?

If we don’t address our problems urgently and
effectively now, I can see a day when Britain will be pushed into withdrawing from the EU altogether.

Then all the Eastern Europeans will be going home, won’t they?
