WITH regard to the status of Sir Ken Morrison (Yorkshire Post, February 14), believe it or not there were councillors at City Hall who voted against him being given the freedom of the City of Bradford simply because he had made a lot of money in his chosen career.

Imagine – in a city which once boasted of having more privately registered Rolls-Royce cars per head of population than anywhere else in the world.

OH dear! What a pity that your story about the Bewick swan face recognition project (Yorkshire Post, February 11) was accompanied by a photo of our familiar Mute swans, rather than one of the lovely winter visitor Bewick swans.

WITH reference to the photograph and article in your paper (Yorkshire Post, February 11) regarding the Bewick swan study. Surely the birds pictured are our native mute swans?
