Time for plastic tree guards to be uprooted
AS a convert to regular reader, I was just finishing the weekend edition of The Yorkshire Post on Sunday morning; the range of content and quality of journalism is a credit to your team.
Tucked away in Country Week was a fascinating article by David Harrison – The ‘stupidity’ of plastic planting – that deserved to have far better prominence.

WHAT an excellent article Christa Ackroyd writes each week. This week’s was no exception (The Yorkshire Post, April 25).
So topical and to the point. She is probably close to my age too. I remember so well queueing up for my BCG jab and still have the scar. And I also have Calamine Lotion, Savlon and Germolene and fabric plasters in my first aid box, and they serve their purpose very well.
Thank you Christa for such brilliant articles every week.
