Ozzy denies divorce, but tells of drugs ‘dark place’

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has dismissed reports that he and wife Sharon are divorcing but said that he has been in a “dark place” with drink and drugs.

The star, 64, who has previously struggled with addictions, admitted in a message on his Facebook page that he had fallen off the wagon. His statement came after reports that the Black Sabbath singer and his wife of 30 years, a former X Factor judge, were living separately.

Osbourne wrote: “For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a***hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.

“Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing.

“I would like to apologise to Sharon, my family, my friends and my bandmates for my insane behaviour during this period...and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy”.

Ozzy, Sharon and two of their three children, Jack and Kelly, shot to fame in MTV reality show The Osbournes.
