Peaks protection group hits 100

A group formed to protect Yorkshire's famous Three Peaks has recruited its 100th member.

The Friends of the Three Peaks was set up by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority to raise money to maintain paths around Whernside, Penyghent and Ingleborough.

Kevin Macbeth, 70, who lives in Rodley, Leeds, became the 100th – with his wife Barbara as the 101st.
