Pensioner, 80, suffers serious injuries in Doncaster street robbery

An 80-year-old woman has been pushed to the floor and robbed in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police has launched an appeal over the incident which happened as the elderly victim walked along Carr View Avenue in Balby on Tuesday March 29 at around 4.30pm.

It is believed that she was pushed to the floor from behind by an unknown man, who then grabbed her bag and ran away towards Balby Road.

The woman suffered serious injuries that required hospital treatment.
