Pensioner accusedof wife's murder
A pensioner is due to appear in court today charged with the murder of his wife.
Geoffrey Norton, 66, is accused of killing Janet Norton, 64, who was found with head injuries at her home in Preesall, Lancs, on Friday. Police were called to the address in Lakeside Lodges, Sandy Lane, at about 9am. Mrs Norton was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and was later transferred to Royal Preston Hospital, where she died. A post-mortem examination revealed she suffered severe head injuries.
