Pensioner in Hull assaulted and robbed by men who came to his aid after mobility scooter ran out of power

Two men pretended to come to the aid of a 72 year-old man whose mobility scooter had run out of power and then allegedly assaulted and robbed him.

Humberside Police say the victim was near shops near to the Wawne Ferry pub when he noticed the scooter was running low on power.

An unknown male approached him and offered to give him a push. The suspect then went away and came back with another man. They both pushed the victim along Castlehill Road before allegedly assaulting him and robbing him of money and a ring.

It happened on August 12 around 7pm and police are now appealing for witnesses.
