His wife Lindsey and daughter Macy, along with other members of Burrow's family and friends, climbed Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent in the middle of September to raise awareness and funds for MND.

You can donate to the fundraiser, which has already received more than £6,000, here.

Father-of-three Burrow, a former Leeds scrum-half, is now making more use of a wheelchair and has experienced a significant deterioration of his voice in recent months.

In a moving clip, wife Lindsey said: "Rob had actually had a bet with me this week saying that you won't do it - you've not done any training.

"How am I supposed to train - I've got three children to look after, I'm working from home and I've got you to look after," she joked.

Burrow's sister Joanne Hartshorne said: "I think he'll be proud because I don't even think he thought I'd do one.

"He is so strong, he's an inspiration, so I'll put myself through that, it's nothing really is it, compared to what he's going through.

"So I kept thinking of Rob all the time.

Macy said: "It was really hard - well, not really hard, but you know what I mean.

"I feel like daddy's going to be really proud of me."

In a heartbreaking moment, Burrow starts to cry when asked how proud he is of his family.

Lindsey added: "It was just such an emotional time for both of us.

"For Rob to be there supporting myself and his family and friends that were doing it, was really nice

Burrow posted on Twitter after the event: "My family and friends did the 3 peaks yesterday in order to raise money for MND.

I am so proud of Lindsey who did in just over 9 1/2 hours. You amaze me everyday. Macy did 1 peak bless her. So proud of my lovely family.

Thank you to everyone who took part, especially Nev Bateman."
