A fragrance fit for her Majesty thanks to Yorkshire craftsmen

A fragrance fit for the Queen has been presented to Her Majesty as a special Christmas present – in a vial made by Yorkshire craftsmen.

Adamas – from the ancient Greek word for diamond – was taken to the Palace yesterday as a Jubilee year Christmas gift from the Royal Society of Chemistry, which she is a patron of.

The perfume was created exclusively for her by CPL Aromas in Hertfordshire, using ingredients from parts of the Commonwealth and inspired by popular scents at the time of her coronation in 1952.

Its bottle was made by David Sanders and Andrew Wallace at their workshop in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, using recycled Dartington crystal.
