'My last dance with my baby': Yorkshire dad's emotional video of final dance with four-year-old daughter who died suddenly

Charlotte Grace Newton - described by dad John as an 'angel' - passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening. (April 22)

Brave Charlotte was a 'one in a million case' who courageously battled several medical issues including stage five kidney disease, liver disease, a rare genetic disorder and heart problems.

However, dad John told the Yorkshire Evening Post that despite the problems she faced, Charlotte "never saw her medical problems as something which held her back in life" and was "always smiling through each day".

John, from Thurnscoe, Barnsley, shared heartbreaking footage of his final dance with Charlotte in their home.

In the footage, Charlotte can be seen smiling and dancing away in the arms of her dad.

John told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The sudden loss of our baby girl has been devastating and heartbreaking for us and has left us in complete bits.

"Charlotte was a real one in a million case, she suffered from several medical issues, the main being stage 5 kidney disease, she also suffered from liver disease, a rare genetic disorder and a heart problem.

"She was on the transplant list for a combined liver and kidney transplant which would have taken place at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

"Her main care was provided by Nottingham Queens Medical Centre.

"Despite the problems she faced in life, Charlotte never saw her medical problems as something which held her back in life always smiling through each day."

Charlotte leaves behind John, her mum Rachel and sister Emily.

John added: "She was such a happy little girl who woke up each day with a love for life, a beautiful little girl who brought joy into the lives of everyone she encountered in life.

"She had such a bond with her older sister Emily who is autistic and deaf.

"We would like everyone to know how beautiful and loved she was."

A fundraising page has now been set up in memory of Charlotte.

More than £1,500 has been raised so far at time of writing on the GoFundMe page.
