Perfect 10

THE fastest corporate challengers in this year’s Leeds 10k have been recognised by Mike Tomlinson, above left, widower of Jane Tomlinson, who helped create the race five years ago, alongside the corporate event sponsor Clarion.

Mr Tomlinson is seen above with Steve Watkins who ran the fastest time in 36:28 and Roger Hutton from Clarion, with runners from the corporate teams behind them.

First-time entrant Rotork, a valve company with a base in Bramley, Leeds ran away with the first prize. It entered a team of 19 into the 2011 Clarion Corporate Challenge. Second place was Begbies Traynor, and third was SSD (UK).

Fastest woman was Bernadette Clayton from the Chambers of Commerce in 44:42.
