The protests that day also saw hundreds of young people running from police over fears they would be kettled.

There was vandalism and violence during tuition fee demonstrations on December 9, the night MPs voted to raise tuition fees.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said the latest images were not believed to relate to an attack on a car carrying the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall that night.

“The pictures are taken from the incidents which took place on November 30 and December 9,” Scotland Yard said in a statement.

“Officers suspect the individuals featured were involved in offences of violent disorder and affray.”
