Pilot 'flew for yearswith forged licence'

A pilot has been arrested on suspicion of flying with a forged licence for more than 10 years.

The 41-year-old Swede was arrested in the cockpit of a Boeing 737 scheduled to fly from Amsterdam to Turkey.

A spokesman for Turkish airline Corendon said the company had co-operated with police. The pilot worked for Corendon for two years and is suspected of falsifying documents. He allegedly flew for charter airlines in Britain, Belgium, and Italy.
