Plans for town hall revamp

Plans for the £300,000 refurbishment of Silsden Town Hall will be revealed in the town on March 27.

The plans will be on display in the town hall and library between 3pm and 7pm and council officers will be available to answer questions.

Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for Environment, Sport and Sustainability, said: “This scheme will transform Silsden Town Hall into the hub of the community, co-locating services into one place, increasing its accessibility and use for a wide range of local groups.”

As part of the plans Silsden Library will be relocated into the town hall.

The scheme involves a new ramp at the front of the building and a lift to the main hall on the first floor. The main hall will become of a more ‘flexible’ space.
