Police appeal directly to girl missing in Highlands
Moyra Liz As-Chainey, 16, was last seen two days ago at her home in the remote hamlet of Edderton in the Scottish Highlands. Around 50 people took part yesterday in a large-scale hunt for the girl, whose disappearance is said to be totally out of character.
An RAF search and rescue helicopter, mountain rescue teams, coastguards, police and four search and rescue dogs were all involved in the operation. Police have now urged the teenager to make contact with the authorities.

“You are not in any trouble, we just want to know where you are and that you are safe and well. Your family and friends are very worried about you.”
Mr Reiss added that there had been a good local response to the inquiry.
