Police find body in search for missing Leeds schoolboy

POLICE searching for a missing Leeds schoolboy have found a body.

POLICE searching for a missing Leeds schoolboy last night said they had found a body.

Joseph Hughes, 17, was last seen at 4pm on Wednesday when he left his home in Colton on a bike.

Officers said they were concerned as he has not been missing before and his disappearance was said to be out of character.

West Yorkshire Police said the body of a man had been found in woods in Colton yesterday afternoon.

Officers said Joseph’s family had been informed but speaking yesterday added that no formal identification had yet taken place.

A statement said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious.”

Joseph, a student at Garforth Academy, was last seen was wearing navy blue Nike jogging bottoms, a blue Garforth Academy top and blue Adidas Samba trainers.
