Police hunt robber who held Huddersfield travel agents up at knifepoint

A man armed with a knife has entered a West Yorkshire travel agents and demanded money.

The suspect entered the premises in Westbourne Road, Huddersfield, on Monday July 11 at around 4.45pm.

He demanded money from two female employees while holding a knife but fled when one of the workers phoned the police.

West Yorkshire Police are hunting the suspect who was described as white, in his late 20s and skinny with dark hair.

He was wearing a blue cagoule with the hood pulled down and dark bottoms.

Detective Constable Shaun Topham, of Huddersfield CID, said: “This was clearly a very frightening experience for both members of staff at the store, who were left unhurt but understandably very upset. 

“Enquiries are ongoing and we would very much like to speak to anyone who has information. ”
