Julia Mulligan, the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner, and Dave Jones, North Yorkshire Police’s Chief Constable, recently committed to doing everything possible to maintain police officer and PCSO numbers.
Ms Mulligan said: “PCSOs make a real difference to local people and play a big part in making our county the safest in England.
“What’s more, over the course of the past few months I have received many extremely positive comments about PCSOs and their integral role as members of our communities.”
