Police probe footballer’s broken leg

POLICE in Hull are appealing for witnesses after a Sunday league footballer had his leg broken by an opponent.

The incident occurred in a match between Fenners and Biggin at Noddle Hill Youth Centre in Bransholme on December 16 after a Biggin player was booked.

He allegedly became aggressive and made threats to injure another player, and shortly afterwards made a two-footed challenge which broke a Fenners player’s leg. The victim later made an allegation of assault to police and officers are now seeking to identify the man involved.
