Police search garage forvictims of serial killer

Officers using specialist search equipment examined the garage in Broadmere Avenue, Havant, Hampshire, as part of a national inquiry into the past of Peter Tobin.

Tobin is currently serving life sentences for the murders of Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Police said that nothing suspicious was found.

She added: “It is not linked to any specific missing person. Aside from this address, we do not intend to search any other properties in Hampshire.”

Police were helped by officers from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and used ground penetrating radar .

The search was carried out as part of Operation Anagram in which all of the country’s police forces were asked to examine Tobin’s past.

Earlier this year searches were carried out at properties in Brighton, East Sussex.
