Aldi withdraws range of yogurt in nut scare

Aldi withdrawing a range of Luxury Yogurts because they contain hazelnut which is not declared on the packaging.

The firm says its Specially Selected Yogurts are affected.

The Food Standards Agency has reported the product as a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to hazelnuts.

The names of the products are: Specially Selected Scottish Luxury Yogurt, 150g; Specially Selected Canadian Blueberry Luxury Yogurt, 150g; and Specially Selected Fudge and Cream Luxury Yogurt, 150g.

If you have bought one of the above products and have an allergy to hazelnuts, do not eat it.

Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that were distributed the product. Aldi will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

No other Aldi products are known to be affected.a
