MP hailed as champion by beer brewers

Great Heck Brewery owner and head brewer Denzil Vallance said that the award is in recognition of Nigel’s work in Parliament towards achieving last year’s historic cut in beer duty, the first since 1959.

Hide AdNigel said: “I’m very pleased to have received this award and I’m particularly happy to see the effects of the cut in beer duty in a young and successful new business like Great Heck Brewery.
“It shows the benefits to employment, business and opportunity in the constituency.”
Mr Vallance said: “Beer duty makes up over 50 per cent of our costs and so we were delighted.”
