MP ‘taking temperature’ of local firms

Andrew Jones, the MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, has organised an online survey which will take an in-depth look at the position of local businesses and their prospects for future growth in the local area. It also asks firms what support they need to be able to grow.

Mr Jones said: “Before becoming an MP I spent 25 years in business so I understand the importance of creating an environment in which businesses can thrive. Businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and important to our local area.

“Ensuring businesses across Harrogate, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge thrive is one of my top priorities.

“The results will be used to analyse how businesses in Harrogate and Knaresborough are performing and what more can be done to support them.

“I will be speaking to the local councils, other authorities and government about the issues raised although individual business details will remain anonymous,” Mr Jones added yesterday.
