Thousands turn to Yorkshire A&E as GP queues increase
PATIENTS across Yorkshire are heading to A&E as it becomes more difficult to see a GP, Labour has claimed.
In a speech to the King’s Fund health think tank in London, Mr Clegg said there needed to be a “fundamental culture shift” in the health service and in society.
In England alone, he said, almost 4,700 people took their own lives in 2013 - 78% of them men - with suicide remaining one of the biggest killers for men under the age of 50.
“Suicide is a massive taboo in our society. People are genuinely scared to talk about it, never mind intervene when they believe a loved one is at risk,” he said.
